A few years back, Dick and I were doing some work for a hospital in Hert’s.
Right around the time Covid-19 became a thing.
There was a guy there (let’s call him Bob) who wanted an old Landy, so one of my brothers – who’d recently rebuilt his Land Rover Series IIa (with a 200tdi conversion) obligingly sold off his motor to this Bob.
Bob, politely repaid us by giving us Covid.
Not the watered down, politically correct, Covid you get these days. The hardcore v1.0 version that knocked you off your feet for weeks and wiped out the less fortunate.
Thanks, Bob.
Fast forward a few years and I’m in the midst of another bout of Covid. While it’s not as murderous as before (it’s akin to a bad cold), it’s still enough to stop me from poking around my old Landys, fixing stuff. It’s still been a pretty miserable week.
But on the bright side, it’s given me some time to sit down and catch up with some stuff I’ve been meaning to do for a bit.
One of those was add a new T-shirt to the OLR shop.
Introducing the Old Landys Rule! Series III grill t-shirt…
Given Dorothy’s the Landy that inspired OLR (Dorothy’s my Series III) we probably should’ve created this tee to begin with.
Whatever. Like the long, drawn out, engine rebuild on ‘Reg’, Dick’s P38, it’s done, now.
(Kudos to Dick for nailing the rebuild!)

Dark colours to follow.
Old Landys Rule!
Cheers, Phil.
