Hey.
Thanks for stopping by.
Old Landys Rule is THE newsletter for owners of geriatric Land Rovers who don’t mind getting down and dirty with their classic beast.
If you don’t have dirt under your fingernails or grease on your face, you’re simply not trying hard enough.
Who?
Meet Phil, the second generation of Landy fans at OLR.
Been around Landys since acquiring Dorothy somewhere around the turn of the millennium.
Always fixed his own cars.
Once refitted a gearbox to Dorothy several hours before ‘departure’, promptly took her for an MOT, then packed the car and drove to Poland. #lifeontheedge 😀
Current stable includes:
- ’76 Land Rover Series 3 88″ Hardtop diesel – Dorothy
- ’99 Land Rover Discovery 2 – Lucky
Meet Dick, the OG of Landy fans at Old Landys Rule (OLR).
Been around Landys since the mid 90’s and has been fixing his own cars for way longer.
Once drove from the Pyrenees to London, in Uriah the V8 110, without touching the brakes once (ask us why).
Current stable includes:
- ’84 110 V8 – ‘Uriah’
- ’88 110 V8 County – ‘Blue’
- ’83 Range Rover V8 – ‘The Beast’
- ’92 200Tdi Discovery (3 door) – ‘Trigger’ (after Trigger’s broom)
- ’00 Range Rover P38 2.5 DSE – ‘Reg’
And in true geriatric Landy fashion, only one is on the road 🙂
It just so happens we’re a father and son team.
Now you know a little about us, next thing you should do is head here and sign up for our newsletter – it’s the only way you’ll get to keep up with all the OLR shenanigans.
Thanks for stopping by.
Team OLR (Dick & Phil).
